I founded NestWell with a deep passion for helping seniors maintain their independence and quality of life. After witnessing the growing need for aging-in-place solutions in our community, I was inspired to create a company that provides the support, resources, and care that seniors need to safely and comfortably remain in their own homes.
My background in occupational therapy and home care has given me a unique perspective on the challenges seniors face when trying to age in place. I earned my bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, my doctoral degree from the University of Toledo, and I have spent over a decade working in home care, specializing in low vision, neurological re-education, geriatrics, and post-acute rehabilitation.
Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in research and education, including being selected for research implementation from Johns Hopkins University for low vision patients. I have also had the privilege of lecturing on Occupational Therapy’s role in treating patients with low or no vision at The Ohio State University. Additionally, I have provided professional educational presentations for institutions such as Mount Carmel Home Care Systems, Mercy Health Systems, The University of Toledo, and the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association, as well as presenting at the AOTA conference in 2017.
My expertise extends to assistive technology for individuals with vision impairment, utilizing both low- and high-tech access options to enhance independence. My mission is to use my knowledge and experience to create meaningful solutions that empower seniors to thrive in their own homes, ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve.
At NestWell, we are committed to making aging in place a viable and fulfilling option for seniors, allowing them to live with dignity, security, and peace of mind.
